Can A Mass On Ovary Be Cancerous?
I was recently diagnosed with a solid mass on my ovary with vascularity (I believe that s what the doctor called it. It is 3cm. I am concerned that is may be cancer - I had a pelvic ultra sound and that s how they found this mass. I am scheduled for surgery on November 3rd. Are they any indications that would there would be a chance it is cancerous?

The characteristics of a mass in ovary suspicious of cancerous are more of solid components, complex appearing lesions, septations inside. first of all please do not worry, in your case it may or may not be cancerous. Definite diagnosis will be by removing and examining it. Even if it is cancerous definite cure is possible. So do not worry. Hope you understand now.

yes , there is small chnace of this being cancerous. But it is the correct treatment you are going for surgery , that will determine the nature of this tumour. A gyn oncologist should be able to take care of your condition satisfactorily.
