Can a diabetic person eat red meat ?

does eating red meat affect in any way a person who has type 1 diabetes ? can he eat in large quantities if it does not?

the studies shows , higher consumption of total red meat, especially various processed meats, may increase risk of developing type 2 diabetes in women.

the large amount of red meat cause many other health issue too
