Can A Blocked Artery Cause Knee Numbness?
My husband has heart disease and he had a triple bypass eleven years ago. He now has a blocked artery and they increased his heart medication. Now he is getting numbness below the right knee on his right leg. It comes and goes. Could this be related to the heart?

1. Blocked blood vessel in heart would not cause numbness in lower limb.
2. However, the same partial block in the lower limb on affected side can lead to numbness or even pain. Doppler examination will help in confirmation.
3. Associated vitamin deficiency can also cause similar findings. Specifically B12 or pyridoxine. Serum assay will confirm a possibility of peripheral neuropathy
