Can Zanocin Be Substituted With An Alternative?

Doc, my kid is 3.5 yrs old. 3 days back he started vomiting and loose motions. He is not taking any food, he fears that he will vomit it. We took him to a Doctor, he told that it is due to heatstroke. He prescribed some medicines. One of the given medicine is Zenocin OZ, my kid is not able to take it. Every time we try to give him, he vomits entire thing. It s so bitter in taste that he could not bear. Please suggest any alternative.

Thanks for the query.
I can understand your concern.
For vomiting and loose motions you need not to give antibiotics every time , if it is not bacterial.
Also heat stroke is not the indication of antibiotics.
But if your doctor have given you antibiotics he must have suspected bacterial infection in the stomach.
You can try susp. satrogyl -o , in the same dose as advised for zanocin-oz.
susp. satrogyl -o comes in powder form which have to be reconstituted after adding boiled and cooled water, it is sweeter in taste.
Hope i helped you.
