Can Xanax Be Taken After A Surgery?

I had a surgical procedure today for a BAHA Cochlea implant. It was monitored twilight sleep with what I think they said was propofol. I cannot sleep tonight due to some anxiety and I m very overtired. Can I take a 0.25 mg xanax? I need to get some sleep
