Can Vyvanse Cause Heart Murmur?

my child, a twin boy (born at 35 wks, weighed 3 lbs 3 oz, with twin transfusion synd.), almost 15 years old, has just been told he has a slight heart murmur. He has been on Vyvance for 4 years, could it have caused it and is it safe to still take it? Thanks!

Hi There

I completely understand your concern but i want to know Why he is on VYvance, does he have Attension Deficit disorder? IF the child has recently developed that murmur which was not there before its very important to consult your treating doctor at earliest because sudden death has occurred in people with heart problems or defects taking stimulant medicines.

My motive is to alarm you not to terrify you. Discuss with your doctor personally whether to continue or not.

May God Bless The Kid
