Can VitD Deficiency Be The Reason For Black And Blue Spots On The Body ?

I have like black and blue spots on my body some as big as 6 to 8 inches. They have been there for about six months. I had a check up right before that and the only thing they found wrong is that i had a vitamin D deficiency. I am taking 50,000mg of vitamin d now every 2 weeks.
Do you know what may cause this, they do not seem to be going away.?
Thanks

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Vitamin D deficiency is associated with symptoms of bony pains, brittle bones, body pains, and spasms. The symptoms of vitamin D are similar to those seen in calcium deficiency since both these agents act together in body.
Blue or black colored spots are not features of vitamin D or calcium deficiency.
Blue colored spots on body may be due to petechiae or purpuric patches.
These develop due to platelet disorders or abnormalities of clotting factors.
Vitamin K is associated with clotting factors.
You need to consult your physician for clinical examination of the spots.
Clinical examination will only determine whether the spots are due to purpura or some other cause.

Thanks and take care
