Can Utovlan Cause Irregular Periods?

Hi, I took utolvan july the 12th to prevent my period whilst on holiday for a week, ihave a copper coil fitted and i bled 3 days after stopping the tablets BUT this month i have had period pains for two weeks with no bleed and have been feeling nauseous the last 3 days at work.

3 years ago i had an ectopic preganacy after taking utolvan and returning from holiday....

Any advice would be appreciated. Is it normal to have irregular bleeds for a whilst after taking utolvan?

Should I take a preganacy test as a precaution as i feel nauseous?

Hi,
Yes,Utolvan can cause known side effects like irregular periods, nausea, bloating.
I suggest you take pregnancy test to relive your anxiety.if it is negative you need not worry and I suggest you Ibuprofen 200 mg for cramps and omeprazole 30 minutes before breakfast for 1 week.
