hi my name is Katie and I m 23. I have a urine infection and Lower pain in my lower abdomen.last month I was a week late for my period I then got my period and it lasted a week.I did to home pregnancy test which were negativeI been went to the doctorhe told me I had a urine infection after I asked him to do a pregnancy test he told me I was not pregnant I am Note 2 weeks late this month from my period. can do you write infection affect my menstrual cycle and could I possibly be pregnant

Urinary tract infection does not have any effect on menstrual periods.
urinary infection affects the urinary tract only.
Menses occur due to bleeding from the inside of the uterus.
The two aren't connected in any way.
Pregnancy is diagnosed , after urine pregnancy test becomes positive.
If you're having irregular periods, you should see a gynecologist.
