Can Synthroid And Paxil Be Taken At Night Instead Of In The Morning?

I take a lot of medications and I am trying to figure out if I can switch some of my medications to nighttime, in particular, Synthroid and Paxil.
My morning pills consist of, Paxil, Synthroid, Provigil, Ampyra, and Metaformin. At night I take a second Metaform, second Ampyra (which I now realized should be taken at dinner or around 7:00 pm) and Vitamin D 2000 iu and Vitamin B Complex 100. Sometimes I add a Benadryl at night to sleep. I take Copoxane three times a week (self injected). I would like to know if I can take my synthroid and or paxil at night to break it up a bit.

Psychiatrist 's  Response
Hello thanks for asking from HCM for your health related queries

I can understand your concern. Paxil is Paroxetine and the drug is a SSRI drug. The drug is only SSRI which has profound anticholinergic effects and this is known to cause sedation. So it is advisable to take the drug in evening hours only. It is not advisable to take drug in morning.

Synthyroid is thyroid medicine and the drug should be taken in morning time only before breakfast. It is not good to take drug in evening. Please consult your doctor before making any change in prescription. Provigil is Modafinil and the drug is a drug that must be taken in day time only. The other drugs you are taking are fine at the time you are taking.

Consult your psychiatrist if you develop any symptoms.

Hope this helps you. Thanks. Take care
