Can Susten 200 Be Taken During Pregnancy?

Hi Doctor, I am 10w pregnant and will be travelling this week, my doctor has suggested susten200 daily twice, is it safe? And also what is the best way to take the capsule (orally or suppository). This is my first pregnancy and i want to be carful but the travel is unavoidable. Please help. And also any extra advice is welcome, thank you.

I understand your concern.

Susten contains 'Progesterone hormone'.
This is a female hormone and needs to be supplemented if a woman doesn't produce enough of it. Insufficient production of progesterone can cause irregular menstrual cycles and trouble in maintaining pregnancy.

When taken during pregnancy, it will actually help you to prevent miscarriage from happening.

Side effects may include: nausea, drowsiness, headache and weight gain.

It would be better to take it as a suppository that oral as it will minimize certain side effects.

Kindly take the medication as advised and do the necessary follow-up.
