Can Regestrone Be Taken For Delayed Periods?

I don t remember getting my period this month. Last month I had them on June 2015. the pregnancy test is negative. I have been advised to take regestrone Sandoz. Is it okay to wait till 10th Aug 2015 to c if I will get my periods ? or (2) if I take them now, is there any harm

Yes, Regestrone can be taken to delay the periods.

Since the pregnancy test is negative there is no harm in taking it now.

You may take Regestrone 5mg 3 times a day starting 3-4 days before a period is due. It can be continued for up to 2 weeks or so until you want to have a period. The period will normally begin 2-3 days after stopping
Following the dosing schedule is very important for this medication to be effective. Try not to miss any doses.

On the other hand if the pregnancy test is negative, this medication can be harmful to the growing fetus hence should not be taken.
