General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for posting in HCM.
First thing to be considered for delay in getting periods is pregnancy. Since your blood test and urine test is negative, it is ruled out.
The other possibility is hormonal imbalance between estrogen and progesterone regulating the menstrual cycle.
Primolut N contain norethisterone, a first generation synthetic progestogen that has similar action in the menstrual cycle as the natural hormone progesterone. It helps re-establish a regular menstrual cycle by helping to restore natural hormone levels in cases of amenorrhoea - menstrual periods that have stopped, are absent or irregular.
Hence, kindly take the prescribed medication. You will get relieved of your symptoms soon.
Hope the information provided is clear.
All the best.
