Can Prednisone Be Taken Safely During Pregnancy?

i wanted to know if your 14 weeks pregnant is it safe to take 60 miligrams of prednisone, also be giving 3 steriod treatments that you breath in & out through a tube, also be giving and inhaler, also an x-ray all within 2 days if the doctors are saying you have asthma

Hello,

Steroids of any type (except the illegal kind) are all safe during pregnancy. Some kinds of steroids are given to pregnant women if they are at risk for preterm delivery. Regarding the x-ray of your chest, the amount of radiation in a plain x-ray is so minimal. You would need to have at least ten thousand x-rays to harm a pregnancy.
