Can Pneumonitis Be Considered As The Primary Complex?
My 4 year old daughter's x-ray results shows te following: Radiographic Findings: Streaky densities seen in the perihilar areas, Heart is not enlarged, Diaphragm and bony thorax are unremarkable: Remarks: Central Pneumonitis.... Can this be considered as primary complex already?
Hello Thanks for your query. You are right that it may indicate primary complex because all the components are not seen on chest x-ray simultaneously or it may also be indicative of pneumonia or middle lobe syndrome. All depends on the clinical judgement of a doctor and clinical symptoms of your daughter. Because many a times primary infection by TB remains asymptomatic. I suggest you to consult a pulmonologist soon and get your daughter thoroughly examined. Thank you. Regards. Dr Arnab Maji
