Can Nurofen Be Used To Reduce Fever In Chicken Pox For A Child?

My 3 and a 1/2 year old daughter has chicken pox. She already started having red spots / blisters all over her body. Her doctor adviced to give her panadol to reduce the fever. Panadol is not working well to bring her fever down from over 40 degrees. Is it safe to use Nurofen as well? Thanks

yes you can use nurofen for fever > 38.5 celcius every 6 hours. Make sure you give the nurofen with meals because it can cause upset stomach.
