Can Neurontin Or Lamictal Cause Positive Result In 9 Panel Test?

I just did a 9 panel drug test. They did a strip test right there but told me the test was inconclusive and they would need to send it to the lab. One of the panels was purple. This left me to wonder if one of the prescriptions that I am on would cause a problem with the test. I am on Neurontin 900 mg per night for nerve damage subsequent to a ruptured disk in my neck that pressed on my spinal cord. I am also on Lamictal. Would either of these medications cause a problem in a 9 panel test?

Lamictal and Neurontin can cause false positive results for Phencyclidine (PCP) which is a part of 9 panel drug test. If you have taken any of these they can cause the test to appear as if you were taking PCP which is screened for drug abuse in 9 panel test. Kindly take the prescription along when you go next time for such test because false positives on 9 panel drug test can occur if you are taking certain other drugs. This would help the laboratory in making correct decisions.
