Can Naproxen Prescribed For Strained Muscles Cause Fever With Headaches?
My daughter was prescribed Naproxen for strained muscles 2 days ago. She is not feeling well and has a temp of 101.7 along with a head ache ( she is 22 years old) Is there a reason she would get a fever . I know head aches can be one of the side effects. Any information would be appreciated

Naproxen is a non steroidal anti inflammatory drug. Fever usually reduced with the use of naproxen. Naproxen isn't the reason for fever here.
Headache can be due to naproxen or can be due to fever and exhaustion. Naproxen can cause headache in some patients. If it is severe, you can ask for alternatives from your prescriber.
