Can Lopressor Cause Inflammatory Bowel Disease?
Thankyou, I started taking toprol XL and Eliquis approximately 6 weeks ago for AFib and PAC s. About 2 months before that I was taking the Tartrate formulation. I developed colitis in the last 4 weeks as seen in elevated Calprotectin and subjective symptoms. I realize Lopressor can cause GI symptoms but no where does it mention inflammatory bowel disease. Can it cause inflammation. YYYY@YYYY

I really appreciate your concern, hope this If this is the conform diagnosis of intestinal pathology then it may not be or can not be due to low pressure of any kind some time drug could induced the gastritis but not the intestinal inflammatory changes, information helps.
