Can Levothyroxine Be Taken Along With Lemon Juice?
I have been taking levothyroxine for over 20 years, but have recently started drinking a cup of warm water with the juice of half a fresh lemon in the AM. I have been waiting to drink my lemon water, but is it ok to take my levothyroxine with it? I also was told to take prilosec an HOUR after my medication - is this too soon?

As endocrinologist, I can say that Levothyroxine works best if you take it on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, at the same time each day.
1. It is very important to take Levothyroxine with a full glass of water, not lemon water.
2. Other important thing is to avoid taking certain drugs within 4 hours before or 4 hours after you take Levothyroxine because they can make Levothyroxine less effective.
Anyway in your case there are not any interactions between Levothyroxine and Omeprazole. Both should be taken fasting.
So, my answer is: Yes, you can take your Prisolec or Omeprazole 1 hour after Levothyroxine.
