Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Levothyroxine is a
thyroid medicine that replaces a hormone normally produced by your thyroid gland to regulate the body's energy and
metabolism.
My advice is to take levothyroxine exactly as prescribed by your treating doctor.
As
endocrinologist, I can say that Levothyroxine works best if you take it on an empty stomach, at least 30 minutes before breakfast, at the same time each day.
1. It is very important to take Levothyroxine with a full glass of water, not lemon water.
2. Other important thing is to avoid taking certain drugs within 4 hours before or 4 hours after you take Levothyroxine because they can make Levothyroxine less effective.
Anyway in your case there are not any interactions between Levothyroxine and
Omeprazole. Both should be taken fasting.
So, my answer is: Yes, you can take your Prisolec or Omeprazole 1 hour after Levothyroxine.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Dr. Elona Xhardo
