Can Levaquin Cause Joint Paint When Diagnosed With Diabetes?

I am taking a new medicine called bydeuron for diabetes. My hands hurt. The joints, muscles everything. They ache to the point it will wake me at night. I also took levaquin for an infection and my shoulders and elbows and hands hurt. I have read that you can develop nerve damage from that antibiotic. What can I do to help or any idea what is causing this?

Understanding your concern. As per your query you are wondering if levaquin cause joint paint when diagnosed with diabetes. Well the symptoms you mention in query can occur due to certain reasons like gout , arthritis or viral infection ,but in your case the symptoms are probably occurring due to side effects of levaquin . I would suggest you to consult doctor who prescribed you levaquin as it is known to cause joint pain as its side effects . Doctor may alter the dose or prescribe substitute . For now drink plenty of water and take ibuprofen or acetaminophen for pain . Doctor may also refer you to orthopedic surgeon for arthritis like condition .
