Can Kwell Lotion Be Used For Scabies?
Not sure if I m looking for info on a product called Quell or Kwell? A topical cream used to fight scabies. Apparently in the 70 & 80 it wasn t supposed to be given to children because of effects on the liver? Long-termed effects is really what I d like to know, if a child WAS prescribed the lotion.

hello,i hav gone through your question and understand your concern about knowing the long term effect of kwell lotion.well in my advice its usage is contraindicated in children,pregnant ladies and breast feeding ladies.kwell contains lindane which can cause allergic reactions in children if comes in contact with skin ,moutth,eyes etc.
And as far as long term effects are concerned yes it causes liver hardening and has some seizure potential as well.
for scabies i would advice my patient to go for permethrine 5%lotion.
