hello Dr J Krueger I am a Physician myself-My sister 52 YRS FEMALE has been diagnosed as invasive ductal carcinoma-she is a diabetic on oral hypoglycaemic agents-rt breast 12 days back with herceptin recepter +ve and negative for ER AND PR Receptors.Bone scan clear-Abdominal Scan clear-but there are multiple enlarged necrotic nodes seen in the right axilla, largest measuring 22 x 12 mm. Both lung fields show multiple nodular opacities with irregular margins, largest measuring 1.0 x 1.0 cm in the lateral basal segment of the left lower lobe. A pleural base nodule is seen in the anterior segment of the left upper lobe. Few subcentimeter nodes are seen in the prevascular (6.8 mm in short axis), pretracheal (4 mm in short axis) and right hilar (9 mm in short axis) regions. IMPRESSION The study reveals a large multi-centric malignant mass in the right breast with right axillary nodes and multiple lung metastasis. The node in the right hila appears suspicious as its show heterogeneous enhancement.
