Can Ibuprofen, Amitriptyline And Neurontin Cure Nerve Pain?

I have non-diabetic nerve pain in both feet. I ve been told it s nerve damage; the symptoms range from itching, burning, throbbing, tingling and occasional swelling. Since this started about five or six years ago, it has come to include severe leg and foot cramps during the night. Naturally, this makes it extremely difficult to walk or stand for any length of time; from shortest (5mins) to longest (30mins and more). The pain never stops, it is a 24/7 problem. I have been prescribed Ibuprofen, Amitriptyline, and Neurontin. I guess my question is, is this the right medication, is it harmful to any organs to take these medications long term, and is there any cure for this kind of damage?

Hi
I have read your query
I will try to help you
But I have a few queries before I can answer accurately

Your question is posted under diabetes. Are you a diabetic? Cause if that is so, it would be difficult to know if it is diabetes related or not.

Also, how did they tell you it was a nerve damage? Did they do a test? If not, I will suggest an NCV of the affected limbs.

I will need the above information. So please let me know as soon as possible.
Meanwhile, I usually ask my patients to go high on fluids, and try a prescription of pregabalin and methylcobalamin.
I suggest to you the same till we know the reports

Best of luck
