Hello.Welcome to HCM forum.Your BP is definitely high and should be in the region of 120/80 mm of Hg.Your doctor is right in changing the medicine as the earlier drug was not able to control your BP.The present drug has two medicines in it and stands better chances of controlling your BP.You should also be investigated for reasons for your high BP as you are very young and secondary reasons for high BP should be investigated. Also change your life style and go for daily outdoor exercises, reduction of your weight, quitting smoking, moderating alcohol intake and taking green veggies and fresh fruits.Remember the dictum; if you take care of your body, body takes care of you. Thanks and good luck.
