I fell of a balcony 5 and half months ago I broke my right hip fractured my pelvis in multiple places and shattered my right heal. None of my fractures have healed yet. I'm in pain all the time it is worse at night because my calfs cramp so bad and I still get muscle spasms in my right leg. I take 10 mg hydro for the pain I take one at 5 in the morning another between 12 and 2 pm and again at 6 pm and again between 11 pm and 12am sometimes I don't need 4 a day but most the time I do especially when it gets cold. My doctor only prescribe 3 pain pills a day for 3 weeks then 2 a day for 1 week this last month. I am very careful how I take them but I don't understand if I'm not healing why I can't get them prescribed to me at 10mg every 4 hours. I have also asked for something for anxiety and she won't prescribe it I am so miserable I don't sleep most nights because of the pain and I have to go to work everyday and it's hard to make it thru the day. I see 3 doctors one for my foot one for my hip and pelvis and one for my pain meds. I have never broken anything before and have never had to take pain pills like this before. In order to get something for anxiety I have to see another doctor which I can't get an appointment for a month. I don't understand how they prescribe meds I realize that they are addictive but I'm very careful how I take them I do notice they don't work as well as before but is it unreasonable to request 10 mg of hydros every 4 hours until my fractures are healed ?
