Can I Take Liv 52 Tablets If Having Pain In Upper Right Quadrant During Pregnancy?

hello, age 34, pain in upper right quadrant,hurts alot , pregnant 24 weeks, could i take liv 52 ? ultrasound done for galblader and liver. nothing appears wrong, but blood test for liver not so good. they said gallblader is lazy and liver is working hard. is liv 52 safe in pregancy?

Can you please upload the blood reports that have been done so far ?
Sometimes what you describe could fall under the category of Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy ( ICP ).
In this condition, the bile salts fail to get metabolized properly due to the effect of pregnancy hormones.
Liv 52 is often prescribed in this condition to support liver functions.
It is perfectly safe to take this drug , so dont worry.
You can continue taking it till term.
Periodic fortnightly monitoring of the liver functions should be done though.
