Can I Take Ibuprofen For Periods Pain? Scheduled For Facial Surgery

I am booked for some facial surgery July 3/2013. The surgeon advised me to stop taking ibuprphen 1 month before surgery. My question is this: can I take some ibuprophen in the next few days as I am expecting my period and it is the only thing that works for me (I mean acetminophen does not touch the pain). Any info you can give me is greatly appreciated.

Hi,
I do not think there might be any problem taking Ibuprofen during period.
There might be some reason behind advised not to take this tablet one month before surgery.
Usually this type of advice is not given for using ibuprofen.
Consult your doctor and discuss.
Ok and take care.
