Can I Take Benadryl For Itching And Pain In Chest?
I ve been on methimazole for hyperthyroidism and this is 4th week. Woke up with hives, welts and itching and a very strange uncomfortable pain in the center of my chest. I take 2 pills each morning. Can I take Benadryl? And, I m worried about this chest pain, though it feels very uncomfortable and heavy like gas.

As you have been taking methimazole for 4 weeks now, i don't think this allergic reactions are due to it. However an allergic reaction can occur any time with any drug and difficult to predict. Kindly see your endocrinologist and discuss the problem with him
