Hi,thanks for query.Irritation from laundry detergent can be for a short period.In case of any infection it will not go without specific treatment.History of unprotected sex is also important to have some more idea.Please see your doctor for examination.

u can surely differentiate between two condition
detergent reaction is contact dermatitis and true irritation while yeast infection is not irritation but true infection
1-irritation is bright red while infection is dull red with whitish slough
2-pain is more in irritation
3-itching is more in infection
4-infection respond to antifungal while irritation respond to steroid cream
better to consult dermatologist .
