Can I Give Risperdal To 6 Year Old With Uncontrolled Body Movement?

my six year old has un-controllable body movements. no neurological problems found, and was hospitilized to treat what the doctors thought could be strep throat. currently the doctor has prescribe him risperdal. please help, should i give him this new med?????

Uncontrolled body movements at this age may be due to rheumatic chorea.
Usually Haloparidol or diazepsm are given for the treatment of rheumatic chorea.
Better consult Pediatrician.
