Can I Fly When Ear Is Popping With Pain When Coughing Is Severe?

I have had a cough for about 3 weeks. A cough bottle medicine did not work and a week of antibiotics helped ease it but it has not completely gone. Me left ear pops when I have a severe coghing bout and is quite painful. I need to get a flight in 2 days, is it safe?

Hi welcome to health care magic...

According to my opinion you should take rest as ear pain might be from Eustachian tube swelling secondary to infection...

You can have allergic or viral bronchitis like condition..

Your chest x ray and sputum cytology examination needed for further work up as three week of cough present....

If needed sputum culture can be done to isolate organism and treatment accordingly

Drink more water

Steam inhalation done two time a day

Take turmeric powder with milk daily

Investigate with CBC along with AEC count to exclude allergy...

Consult physician or pulmonologist for examination and further work up
