Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I prespire for no reason. This isn t a minor sweating, either. My clothing gets soaked. I then get dizzy for a few minutes until I eat, then, my blood sugar rises. I have been tested (just recently as a matter of fact) for hypoglycemia and diabetes, both of which were normal. I ve been told that I am elevated thyroid and may have Hashimoto s Disease. Can the disease cause the sweating?
High levels of thyroid hormone can cause excessive sweating though hashimoto's is usually associated with a decrease in thyroid hormone levels.
Excess sweating is called hyperhidrosis and there are different possible causes. Some causes include: (1) issues with the autonomic nervous system which is part of the body's nervous system (2)genetic (3)side effect of medication (4)increased weight (5)lymphoma (6)infections
If thyroid disease is ruled out as the cause then one of this can be considered.
I hope this helps
