Can Flu Shot Be Taken While On Clarithromycin?

I was just prescribed IC benzonatate 200 mg capsule and IC Clarithromycin 500 mg tablet for persistent non-productive cough of 1 week duration. My office is sponsoring flu shots tomorrow. Should I take the flu shot or should I not overburden my immune system. Thank you.

Hello,

Thanks for posting. There is no contraindication to getting a flu shot and taking Clarithromycin or any other drugs for that matter. I think it is safe to take the flu shot.
