Can DTap And Polio Vaccine Cause Fever And Chest Congestion After 3 Days?

My son is 4 and had a DTaP and polio vaccine three days ago. He's been running a fever, and now also seems to have chest congestion. My guess is he had been exposed to some virus and all just came at once on his system. His heart rate is 132 at resting. Is this normal?

Any vaccine can cause pain at the injection site or low grade fever. But it is very unlikely that your childs chest congestion is related. He has, at the very least, an upper respiratory infection. If the symptoms persist ir worsen, i recomend cinsulting with your doctor.
