Can Cortisone Cream Be Used For Contact Dermatitis In The Groin Area?

I came out of the shower yesterday using a certain shampoo to clean my groin and penis. The tip and skin of my penis are now red, dry and irritated (There is no pain and no blistering). Since I am fairly certain I do not have an STD and this occurred almost immediately after using this product (I think I left it on my penis and testicles) for too long I believe this is some form of contact dermatitis. Would a cortisone cream be safe to put on my penis? Please help me resolve this issue. Thanks, Michael.

hi.
thank you for posting query.

yes, its reasonable to use.
apply a little , gently, on affected surface and wait for 5 minutes.

if no reaction, then you may continue to use.

if no healing within 2 to 3 days, better to visit treating urologist/ dermatologist.

wish you good and sound health.

regards
