Can Concor Be Taken In The Night To Decrease Blood Pressure?

Hi, I took Concor Cor 2.5 mg for my blood pressure and my liver enzymes increased, so the family doctor replaced it with Norvasc 5 mg. Today is my first day on Norvasc and my blood pressure is 133/101, puls 97. Can I take Concor at night to decrease the blood pressure? Yesterday morning I forgot to take my Concor and today I replaced it with Norvasc.

Hello welcome to HCM.
I have read your question and understand your concerns.

Concor Cor contains tab bisoprolol which is very rarely associated with elevated liver enzymes. So kindly ask your doctor to rule out other causes of elevated liver enzymes. So, in my opinion bisoprolol can be started from lower dosage and monitor liver enzymes.

Your diastolic pressure and pulse is still high. So better you restart Concor tab again to adequate control blood pressure and pulse both as Concor will reduce both blood pressure and pulse also.

So, in summary ask your doctor to restart Concor at night with or low dose of norvasc in morning for adequate blood pressure control.

Thank you.
Have a nice day.
