Can Clindamycin And Bactrim Be Taken Together For Infection?

Hi. I have been prescribed clindamycin and bactrim for an infection that has only been diagnosed as microorganisms. My question is is this combination safe to take together, should they be taken hours apart, or should I complete one then take the other?

Your doctor advised you clindamycin ( Aminoglycoside , lincosamide group of antibiotics ) while bacterim is cotrimoxazole ( together these i.e .bacterim act as bacterocidal ) .
These two type of antibiotics don't interact with each other , so it is safe to take these together.
But you may feel nausea , abdominal discomfort , vomiting because both these produces hyper acidity and gastritis .
In my opinion take these tablets 2-3 hours gap of each other .
They don't compete each other .
