Can Biaxin Cause Insomnia?

Hi I am taking Biaxin and I noticed some side effects. I do have insomnia while taking it, and decreased appetite. Also I feel like I just can t think clearly. I am a pianist and I have had trouble with playing the piano. Could that be related to Biaxin or just because I am sick Thank you

I understand your concern.
Biaxin contains 'clarithromycin', which is a macrolide antibiotic.
It is used to treat different types of bacterial infections affecting the skin and respiratory system.
Common side effect known to be associated with intake of Biaxin is distortion of the sense of taste. Due to altered take, you might be having decreased appetite.
It is not known to alter sleep or cause disturbance in sleep. This could have happened due to your anxiousness, which can be overcome by means of relaxation techniques.
