Can Ayurveda Treat Epilepsy And Psychosis?

helo doctor, my sister is 25 years old, suffering from epilepsy since age 8 years , but convulsions are under control due to medicines. She is taking (Sodium Valprate+ Valproic ac id )- Epilex Chrono 500 two time a day.But since 5-6 years her behaviour and mood now changed, very angry, schizoid symptoms etc.If she spontaneously withdraw these medicines then Acute psychose is developed causing severe shrieking, delusions of not having limbs, constanly telling to visit doctor---then we hospitalize her.Any medicine in Ayurveda for Epilepsy and phychoses ? We know about olanzapine and other allopathic drugs. Also we want to know if her long term antiepileptic drugs have caused any deterioration of her brain+mind ?

Hi, I had gone through your query and understand your concerns. Many patients of epilepsy (Age range 9 - 30 years) are leading a comparatively better life under my treatment, out of which 5 cases belong to LGS (Lennox Gastout Syndrome - most severe form of child / pediatric epilepsy, considered to be incurable).
Your decision is appreciable but you took a little more time in making this decision and hence the results of the Ayurveda medication might take little more time to show positive results.
Anti-epileptic drugs subside the convulsions in the child but have a severe impact on the PSYCHOLOGICAL & PHYSICAL DEVELOPMENT of the child, so you might be right about deterioration of her psycho-somatic aspects. We have observed vibrant growth in all the patients when we gradually withdraw the anti-epileptic medicines.
SUDDEN WITHDRAWAL of anti-epileptic medicines may prove FATAL in this case so please never repeat such acts. Its we who decide the GRADUAL withdrawal of the medicines after keeping continuous watch on the development of the patients ( it usually take 3 - 6 months for gradual withdrawal to get started )

It would be a privilege if I could help the young girl as she has an entire beautiful life to enjoy. For that, first I need to see the scanned copies of all of the reports (right from the start of the treatment) in chronological order.
Hope the answer will help you.
Warm regards......
