I began taking a baby aspirin daily 12 years ago (had a Tia). Also went on cholesterol med at that time. and as time went on i developed heartburn and now germ. So I feel,that the aspirin has contributed significantly to this...also I do stress out about things. I am now eating very bland and just started Prilosec 40 mg. three days ago. I have had a lot of acid in the past month and just a sick feeling in my throat area and that kind of kills your desire to eat. But now I seem a little better since I started the Prilosec. Prior to that I was taking Zantac 150. So my question is how long should I wait to start eating things like tomato products or dark chocolate since that was really a trigger for me. I know all the rules eating smaller portions and head raised to sleep and all. This bland diet isn t fun but if I have to continue it along with the Prilosec I surely will do that.
