Can Amoxicillin Cause Headaches And Heart Pain?

Hello. I have been on amoxicillin for the last 9 days due to having strep throat. Ive been suffering headaches and have been unable to sleep while on it. Today I ve been experiencing aching pain in my heart. I have one pill left to take. I don t know if the pain is from the antibiotic or not.

Hi.
Amoxicillin is not known to cause such reactions.
The problem of headache and aching pain in the heart can be due to infection with septicemia and bacterimia. You have to change over to another antibiotic and add-on anti-inflammatory medicines.
You may please go for the following tests::
Blood CBC to see for infection, blood sugar to see for diabetes, CT scan of the sinuses if required by your ENT Surgeon, Throat swab for gram staining and culture and sensitivity.
