Can Amitriptyline Be Taken While On Gabapentin, Alprazolam And Tramadol?
I am presently taking these medications: gabapentin, alprazolam, tramadol, amlodipine, labetalol, furosemide, and aspirins 80 mg. supplements over counter: cinnamon, joint blend sp-2, chlortabs, ginger root, d3-1000, cranberry, turmeric curcumin, l-lysine, garlic 1000mg. question: i was given a prescription today for amitriptyline 10 mg, will this cause serious side effects, mixed with the medications above? I am to stop gabapentin and use amitriptyline for neuoprapthy.

I do understand your concern
“As” per your clinical history is concerned you can take it along with other drugs and there is no serious side effect of it but dose should be adjusted accordingly to reduce over sedation as it increases sedation level.
