Can Alpha-Lipoic Acid Or MicroLingual Cause Loss Of Sense Of Taste?

I ve been diagnosed with mild neuropathy. My neurologist also checked my blood glucose, a 3 hour test. Results were 79 (fasting), 78 (at 1 hr) and 67 (at 2 hours). He told me to take 600 mg daily alpha lipoic acid. After reading up on this supplement, this seems unnecessary to me. I m experiencing a loss of taste. Could that be associated with alpha lipoic acid? He also told me to take 1,000 mcg B-12, micro lingual that dissolves under the tongue. This has cyanocobalamin in it. I m not comfortable with the idea of taking something with cyanide in it. Could THIS be associated with the loss of taste? Thank you.

dear friend
cyanocobalamin is not cynide that you are thinking of its the vitamin that you meed to treat the neuropathy your neurologist is correct in prescribing both the medication as they will help
may be loss of your taste is because of neuropathy which it is in all probability
please take the medication in prescribed dosage and you will find the difference
please do not equate Dr Google's information with the hard work your neurologist has put to acquire the degree he knows a lot more than Dr google does
I find this answer helpful
