Can Actalin Be Taken For Thyroid While On Levothyroxine, Venlafaxine And Coreg?

I am 58, 290 lbs, 6 feet tall. I have Type II Diabetes, Sleep Apnea, Hypothyroidism, a bovine aortic heart valve. I use a CPAP. I take Levothyroxin, Venlafaxine, Coreg, Lisinopril, Insulin, Metformin and COQ10. Will Actalin help my thyroid in any way? I don t believe my Vet Admin. health provider measures all my Thyroid enzymes, etc.

Hi

Actalin is a thyroid supplement. You can take it along with levothyroxine.Since increase in thyroid levels is possible, thyroid levels T3,T4,TSH should be measured after 20 to 30 days.Dose can be titrated based on the values.

Increased sweating, sensitivity to heat, mental/mood changes (such as nervousness, mood swings), tiredness, diarrhea, shaking (tremor), headache, shortness of breath are some of the symptoms of hyperthyroidism.

Hope that was helpful.Let me know if i can assist you further.

Regards
