my skin got burnt when I applied dettol with a cotton to stop bleeding on my chick(acne). I kept the dettol on my chick for almost 12 hours (didn't washed the face) and went to sleep at night, when I woke up in the morinig I found out a portion of my chick got burnt and have become dark. pls give me a solution so that portion of my skin gets back to previous normal stage. Today I imediately rushed to Dermatologist, Below are the medicine she precribed. Here just want to add that i am having some funsi at my leg also. so she precribed some medicine fot that also. So below medicine is for both funci and the scar on chick (due to Dettol.

Hi,
Welcome and thanks for posting your query to HCM.
Your doctor has perfectly prescribed you the medicine seeing your condition with topical and oral antibiotics with antihistamines ( drugs to reduce itching). You got the problem of contact irritant dermatitis by applying dettol which actually burnt your superficial skin. This will be taking almost a week to around 10 days to subside. This may form into brownish black scab in 3-4 days and then will be falling off slowly in next days of period depending on depth of injury.
You should avoid sun exposure, and don't try to touch the area unnecessarily. You can apply T-bact cream over your boil (funsi) on leg. So don't get panicky about it and do follow your doctor's treatment fully and properly to get best results.
Get well soon.
Hope this information will help you.
