Burning And Pain In The Vagina. Pain While Having Intercourse. Cause?

Hi my name is Alicia . I been having problems near my virginal(vulva) area. The out side stings and it hurts when having sexual intercourse . Now I just had sex and it is swollen and it never happened to me before . I had a baby girl in December and since I was pregnant and after I was I still feel pain and burning on the outside of the skin and inside . I was wondering what it can be . May you help me please.?

Hello Alicia.

It appears as though you could be suffering from a simple infection (most probably a urinary tract infection). You would have to go about a urine analysis which would confirm the infection and you could get treated accordingly.

In case the urine does not report an infection, then a physical examination by a doctor and a screening for all sexually transmitted infections might be required.

But in my opinion, this is something simple and you should be fine in no time.
