Burning After Having Unprotected Sex. Taken Antibiotics. Yeast Infection Without White Clumpy Discharge?

I have been having problems my genital area since mid August. I had what felt like a bladder infection just after having unprotected sex on Aug 16th. I started my period a week later and continued to have mild burning. Also when I started my period I also started a birth control pill (lo loestrin ) for the first time. Once my period stopped I had about 2 days of relief and then the burning started up again along with pressure in my lower abdomen and right side pain. My general doctor prescribed me antibiotics for uti after visiting him but the culture came back as an unknown bacteria. A few days into the antibiotic I went to a scheduled check up at my gyno . No bacteria was found only blood (due to spotting from my birth control). The gyno said that blood can irritate my ureter causing uti like symptoms. I had a day or two of relief and then mild burning symptoms started up again (no more spotting). I took cranberry pills and it seemed to offer relief for most of the day. Remember all this is happening since Aug 16th. Most of this time when I did have burning it was mild and helped by cranberry pills until last week. On Monday sept 23 I noticed burning and discomfort to get worse. I woke up tues with pain and burning in my genital area and inside. and what I thought was a low grade fever although I didn t take my temp. I went to my general doctor tues and he said it could be that the first round of antibiotics didn t completely kill the uti. But now after further investigation and being more aware of my symptoms I believe it to either be a yeast infection or genital herpes. I noticed Tuesday night my vulva was extremely red and swollen Tuesday night. I only noticed after then that it burned to urinate only at the opening to my vagina. I did still however have the urge to urinate sometimes after just having done it. Now my questions start... Can I have a yeast infection without white clumpy discharge? I did notice a few times only a watery filmy clear discharge after trying OTC miconazole applicators. Also can it be a yeast infection if I have had little to no itching? Can herpes cause all over redness and swollen inner labia? It is hard to tell but I do not think I have lesions. It is all over red. The inside of outer labia is where it is most red and I noticed today that most of the burning at the vaginal opening is gone. Also the swelling of my inner labia is still there but not as bad as Tuesday. Burning and discomfort has been almost constant this whole time but I did notice little relief after using the miconazole cream and burning and discomfort seemed worse at night the past week. I noticed I had a sore throat after having run a race on sept 21. I also noticed my upper legs by my groin to be a little sore (not bothersome or swollen just a bit sore). And I am overdue for my period By a week I m guessing due to the use of birth control pills (which I was taken of off two and a half weeks after starting them due to migraines and spotting and excessive pressure in my abdomen). After all of that please help me to determine if it could possibly be a yeast infection even though there has been no white clumpy discharge and little to no itching OR if it could be genital herpes even though I do not see visible lesions.
