Hi thanks for posting your querry in HCM.
It seems from your complain that you have got an pyogenic abscess.

Kindly mention the site as well as the duration of illness. What antibiotic had you received for the previous Staph infection? Was it based on Culture and sensitivity report? If yes, Was it an MRSA last time?
But , Whatever is the history, the best advice at this point of time is to visit a doctor for drainage of the abscess and Culture & sensitivity of the material in a microbiology lab. Empiric antibiotic therapy is to be taken till the sensitivity report received. Further antibiotic therapy will be based on the report.

Regarding MRSA: you can know it only after the C&S report is received. MRSA is not more virulent than MSSA, but the only fact is they are resistant to more numbr of drugs. Again, if it is a community acquired MRSA, there will be more sensitive antibiotics.
Don't worry...Get your abscess drained and proceed according to the C&S report.
