Bump In Corner Of Mouth, Not Painful, Popped It Out, Area Red, Swollen. Need Antibiotics?

I had a very small little bump in the corner of my mouth, it was never painful until I started working on it to see if I could pop it out. it felt like a little milia. It didn t come out and now the area is red, swollen and quite painful. I am a 50 yo woman in good shape, with no skin problems other than this. It s been swollen for 3 days, wondering if I need antibiotics?

Hi,
You are unlikely to need antibiotics. Just wash the area regularly and don't touch it and it will most probably improve over the next few days. If it continues to enlarge and become more red and swollen then you may need antibiotics.
